Tony nominated and Emmy award winning actress Ellen Barkin can thank director Barry Levinson for launching her career in the 1982 film “Diner,” and for spicing up her love life – with Levinson’s 26-year-old son, Sam Levinson.
It’s the “worst kept secret in New York,” says a source, who claims the 57-year-old cougar and her boy toy have been living together for two years.
“They go out, they’re photographed together, they don’t keep it a secret,” says another source.
Barkin met the younger Levinson — an actor, screenwriter and director, more than three years ago when he was writing the film, “Operation: Endgame.” She produced and and starred in his feature directing debut, “Another Happy Day,” which picked up the 2011 Sundance Film Festival Waldo Salt screenwriting award.
According to reports this is not just a fling, and the actress has reportedly said she will part ways with Levinson “when they roll me out in a wheelchair.”
