Dangerous car tyre covered in huge bulges spotted on the school run

A DANGEROUS car tyre plagued by bulging bubbles was spotted while a driver was dropping their kids off at school.

A council officer who was patrolling near a school in Derby photographed the tyre which would have almost certainly failed the car’s MOT.

The bubbles or bulges occur when the side wall of the tyre becomes damaged, usually from driving into a kerb or a pothole.

The structural integrity is ruined and causes the internal air pressure to create the tell-tale signs.

According to Derbyshire Live a member of Derby City Council's public protection team pulled the driver over.

He advised the driver to head straight to a nearby garage to have a new tyre fitted.
